That hangover is coming but, in my humble opinion, I think it will only be to separate the wheat from the chaff. Love them or hate them there are AI companies who are doing this right (e.g. PLTR), as well as appropriate uses for AI (e.g. self-driving, medicine). Advertising is always selling the dream and as a result seems to regularly be on the end of either catching up, or early adoption at any cost. Both at their expense. I know literally nothing about the ad tech company Zeta (someone flagged them to me as in investment) but on quick read they've solved the puzzle of connecting humans, interactions, and timing... but if that person still doesn't want what they're selling that was a lot of wasted watts, water and wages for nothing.
