#22 Paul Trillo and Sora are at it Again
Edition 22 - Director presses on with Sora from experiment to commerce.
9:23p - The bottom line: Sora and AI video in general, how these tools are used, and how we as an audience view this is all a work-in-progress. We will all mature together. The same thing occurred with the accelerated speed of pacing in storytelling over time with the addition of multiple camera angles, shorter scenes, with frenetic edits.
My two cents FWIW - at first I wasn’t sure I could watch it all the way through. My eyes and stomach were negotiating on how to process this. However, as time passed I found myself immersed in it. As a producer my mind began wondering a bit; curious about what prepro was involved regarding boards, look and feel, and prompts used.
And then I let go and enjoyed it. It’s a similar experience when I watch a film involving time travel as I think through the storyline; the timeline contingencies; the what-ifs. And then (at some point) I surrender, stay in the moment and become a participant in the story. And the fun begins.
That’s what I experienced here. I let go and enjoyed the visuals. And I thought, “What if they were real people?” “What if some are?” Occasionally I see AI-generated people and I feel sad. Why? Because they don’t exist and I believe they’d have a great personal journey to describe. Probably fun to hang out with too.
So I rather enjoyed this show. It shows a great deal of promise. One thing I will admit to thinking of while watching it - this might be a great one to watch stoned.
