Sora will eat Hollywood's lunch.
Edition 11 - The Oscar for best supporting actor goes to ... someone who does not exist. 4/6/24 Update: Want to hear more from Paul Trillo on his Sora experience? He discusses on this NY Times podcast
Everyone will become producer/directors. Studios? Films will be direct release to streamers, YouTube, Patreon, or an Apple TV app not yet invented. Similar to independent music publishing and production. Sure - we’ve got a ways to go with the whole talking part of it, but this doesn’t seem as heavy a lift as OpenAI has already accomplished with visuals.
How will this be rolled out?
A democratized $20-$30 a month like all prior OpenAI products?
A tiered Hollywood studio version with two or three zero’s added to the monthly cost?
Will there be a scaled-back version available to the the general public - something limited in capabilities?
Perhaps a base model with additional prompting access codes as expandable capabilities?
Following are seven recently released Sora examples from select members of the arts and entertainment industry. We are moving away from the montages of two-second Midjourney animations and replacing with some serious long-form content.

Following was posted by Paul Trillo on his Vimeo account page.
The Golden Record - from raw earth material to a time capsule of human life on Earth, The Golden Record was launched into space in 1977 in the hopes that one day it may be received by extraterrestrial beings.
This scope of this project, curated by Carl Sagan, has fascinated me for years. Using 11 different generations cut together from Sora, I was able to explore what the odyssey of this record might look like. Sora is at its most powerful when you’re not replicating the old but bringing to life new and impossible ideas we’ve would have otherwise never had the opportunity to see.
Edit and sound design by me (Paul Trillo).
